"We tossed a similar steel ball at same window a few times directly before occasion and didn't scratch the glass," Chief Executive Officer Elon Musk guaranteed in a Friday evening tweet.

The group wheezed. "Goodness my f - ing god," said Musk. "Possibly that was excessively hard."
So von Holzhausen attempted a second, gentler toss - this time focusing on the truck's back window - just to see that break too.
It wasn't quickly clear who the provider of the glass is, or if Tesla made what it called "Protective layer Glass" totally in-house. Tesla entered the glass innovation business in 2016, and has an inner gathering known as Tesla Glass.
Notwithstanding the disaster, the Cybertruck got gigantic exposure. Musk said in a tweet on Saturday that there have been 146,000 requests put for the vehicle, which won't be underway until late 2021 at the most punctual.

Musk later tweeted a video of von Holzhausen flinging a steel ball at the window before the Cybertruck dispatch, which yielded the outcomes he was anticipating. "Speculation we have a few enhancements to make before generation," Musk composed.
